Food product labels are facing serious competition. Every other product is competing to be the one the customer wants and label demand is on the rise.
According to an article in the Sacramento Bee, US “label” demand is to reach $19 billion in 2017!
A “label” is defined as any material adhering to an object to indicate contents, pricing, ownership, directions, or other information. Pressure sensitive labels will continue to grow at a healthy rate. However, they will continue to face competition from other labeling methods. Paper labeling will continue to account for the majority of labels through 2017. The paper label demand will continue to grow because of cost savings and the ability to be coated for enhanced durability.
