As Americans take a closer look at what they are eating, food and beverage companies are realizing that funny sound ingredients are turning Americans away. These unknown ingredients are also inviting criticism from online bloggers, damaging the publicity of products. This has proven to be serious enough that manufacturers are reformulating products to remove the unknown.
According to Ali Dibadj, a Bernstein analyst who covers the packaged food and beverage industry states, “It used to be that people would just decide not to buy the product. Now they’re actually agitating for change.”
Food and beverage makers are making changes quietly without alerting the consumer. They don’t want bring attention to these ingredients. They are slowing removing them until they are all gone.
Take another look at the food you are eating. An ingredient or two may have vanished.
